Living life to it's fullest!

Not all Chiropractors are the same.

I met a lot of people out at the local festival called LEAF (www.theLeaf.org) that have tried chiropractic to one degree or another.  These same people were amazed that I could tell them things about their body that other Doctors have simply ignored or never saw.  The skeletal frame holds the organs which need power supplied by the nervous system.  As bones are misaligned allowing pressure to accumulate on nerves, it is my job to detect this spinal misalignment.  As a Palmer College of Chiropractic graduate, I am very good at what I do:

"I find the bone that is out of place and I fix it."

Organic Body Products

It has been a passion of mine for some time now to research in to the products that are going in to my body.  This includes things like body lotion.  In the past I have used popular brands that you can find at fancy natural food stores.  Most companies are adding things like alcohol or fragrances to their products which can tend to be harmful to the skin.  Our skin it the largest organ we have.  We can choose to put poison all over our body everyday, or we could step up our game and make something better!  Stop by the office sometime to see the 100% Organic body products we are creating!   -Dr. Landon

I was talking to a patient the other day telling her that we had turned on 4 reproductive systems in the past year, one for a gentleman and three ladies.   Thirty minutes passed and another woman walks through our doors and tells me that we had success turning her system on this past February!  So that makes 5 confirmed reproductive systems turned on in the past year and a half!

We are turning POWER on to Organs here!  (neat huh?)

Be careful of this filler in your foods. Basically it is ground up rock that helps the flow of dry foods (anti-caking agent). Unfortunately, the human body does not digest rock very well.

Silcon dioxide is listed as one of the '18 Most Sickening Food Ingredients' along with viruses, ammonia and sodium benzoate.

Celebrating the season at Gardens of Health involves tossing a frissbee to win a FREE PUMPKIN!

The many healthy benefits of pumpkin make it our choice for a November wholesome food.

Your body needs help in weathering the changes of autumn. Autumn is a season of change, provoking higher stress levels. As leaves fall, you need nourishing and seasonal foods like pumpkin and other winter squashes, and nervines like nutmeg, to soothe your nervous system.

Cooked pumpkins are soft and comforting. Both sedatives, pumpkin and nutmeg together reduce stress. Wearing yourself ragged keeping up with October's social calendar can result in compromised immunity for flu season come November. Focusing attention inward frees up energy to help your body prepare for winter.

Keeping your nervous system stable through fall is your No. 1 tool for maintaining strong immunity and staying healthy.

Exercise is Essential to Good Health

A regular exercise program can do wonderful things for your health, boost your immune system and even stabilize your insulin levels. These benefits which have a cascading positive effect throughout your body.

Whenever you struggle with time management, remember that exercise is every bit as important as eating, sleeping and breathing. Viewing exercise as a necessary, non-negotiable part of your day is the trick to getting it done. Ideally, schedule it into your appointment book the way you would an important meeting or social event. Set the time for it and then make no excuses about keeping it. There are a variety of exercise protocols that can be done in a minimum amount of time while providing maximum results.

Don’t make the mistake of wasting your time on steady, hour-long cardio sessions on the treadmill as your primary form of exercise. It’s actually one of the least effective forms of exercise there is.

High intensity interval training, on the other hand, has been shown to be one of the most effective forms of exercise—even providing benefits you can’t get any other way.  You burn more fat and calories in the 24 hours after a HIIT workout than you do after, say, a steady-pace run.  When choosing an activity for HIIT try to pick one that safely uses the largest muscle groups in your body.
